The Delfinas (female dolphins) is a group of high school girls who play flag football in Rosarito, Mexico, a rural community just a few miles south of Tijuana, the busiest land border crossing in the world and a community that has been plagued by crime and violence.
There are many social issues in this region but poverty and lack of opportunity are two main reasons why many kids end up caught up with narco-traffickers and smuggling organizations.
"Delfinas" is a story about perseverance, about making choices and following dreams. It is a story about growing up in a place where adulthood often begins too early.
